Availability and Maintainability (RAM) Engineering
ESC performs Reliability Availability and Maintainability
(RAM) engineering service for the military. RAM
analysis determines whether equipment performs its intended
functions for a specified time interval under controlled
conditions. Studies may include but not limited to the
followings:
• Identify failure modes which present an unacceptable
consequence to overall system performance.
• Identify unreliable or high failure components
that significantly impact cost.
• System reliability versus through-put rate requirements.
• Develop solutions to improve system reliability
and availability.
• Recommendations for improving the safety and
reliability of equipment/processes.

Statistical
Modeling/ Failure Forecasting
ESC performs a vital Statistical Modeling and Failure
Forecasting service for the Military that enables
the Program manager to plan and forecast budgetary issues.
Our study examines obsolescence and failure data and
provides a predictive path when a critical component
or system is a road block to continued maintenance and
repair efforts.

Data
Collection and Analyses
ESC performs numerous data collection and analysis
studies for the military. We use several COTS and in-house
developed databases to store and analyze the collected
data. Bar coding and Radio Frequency Identification
Device (RFID) technology is employed for some applications.

Test
and Evaluation
Effective testing and evaluation is an extremely
cost-effective way to ensure that a part, component,
board level, or system solution works and problems are
identified and fixed before going into final production.
ESC performs Test and Evaluation of
both software and hardware systems.
We offer comprehensive individual system functional
and interoperability testing to confirm that all systems
work properly including testing systems under harsh
and simulated environmental conditions.
In
the area of software, ESC develops,
tests, evaluates, and integrates computer solutions
for the military and government agencies.
In
the area of hardware, ESC has the capabilities
that can prototype, fabricate, integrate, and test a
variety of electrical and mechanical hardware used in
commercial and military applications.

ESC provides system level design and services

ESC provides Obsolescence management services
including but not limited to the followings:
- Development and implementation of obsolescence management
databases and tracking tools

as required
- Research, analyze, and recommend obsolescence solutions.

Component
Repair and Remanufacture
ESC performs Class II engineering changes, to include
technical documentation and drawing changes, for solutions
that substitute similar or functionally equivalent parts
for obsolete components or subassemblies. In those instances
where the recommended solution is to perform a Class
I engineering change or redesign, ESC can provide reverse
engineering or re-engineering services, and remanufactured
select components on an over-and above basis.
